Zoey Daniels believes life is meant to be filled with sugar, spice, and everything nice—especially when it comes to her bakery, Slapshot Sweets. Specializing in custom cakes and pastries with a hockey twist, her shop is a haven for fans and players alike. When she lands a last-minute order to deliver a cake for the San Antonio Falcons' charity gala, she’s thrilled—until she meets the team’s star forward, Mason Michaels.

Mason is as gruff as they come. On the ice, he’s a relentless attacker; off it, he’s known for his no-nonsense attitude and permanent scowl. The last thing he expects at the team’s celebration is a whirlwind of sunshine in the form of Zoey—a thick, curvy, plus-size woman with a sharp wit and an infectious laugh. She’s not his usual type, and when he accidentally insults her cake (and by extension, her), he assumes he’ll never see her again.

But fate—and a PR nightmare—have other plans. When a rumor spins out of control, linking them as a couple, Mason needs Zoey’s help to smooth things over. The problem? The more time he spends around her, the more he starts to crave her warmth, her laughter, and the way she doesn’t put up with his grumpy attitude. She’s not what he expected—but she’s everything he never knew he needed.

Zoey knows better than to fall for a hockey player—especially one as emotionally unavailable as Mason. But the way he looks at her, like he’s seeing her in a way no one ever has before, makes her heart race faster than any slapshot. When sparks turn into an undeniable fire, will Mason prove he’s ready to fight for the woman who’s completely changed his game?

A grumpy-sunshine, hockey romance filled with sizzling chemistry, swoon-worthy moments, and the kind of love that melts even the iciest hearts. Get ready to fall hard for Mason and Zoey in Sweet Score!
