McEvoy's Show Girl, directed by Alfred Santell and co-starring Mexican-American heartthrob Donald Reed. It's likely Alice White was the inspiration for turning Dixie Dugan, the titular Show Girl and an iconic brown-eyed brunette, into the vivacious blonde of the film and its sequel, Show Girl in Hollywood.
