Sweet Is the Word: Reflections on the Book of Mormon-Its Narrative, Teachings, and People

Once in a great while, a book comes along that has the potential to profoundly affect the lives of those who read it. Sweet Is the Word is such a book, written by a woman of enormous intellectual gifts and deep spiritual devotion. "Re-experiencing the Book of Mormon through Dr. Arnold's wise, perceptive, profoundly spiritual, and well-trained literary mind and imagination enables an exciting and refreshing re-discovery and re-vision of beloved scripture. Arnold's very readable essay spurs the reader to a richer personal response which is at once marvelously divine and wonderfully human." ~Dr. Richard H. Cracroft, Director - Center for the Study of Christian Values in Literature - Brigham Young University

"The book's title is absolutely correct; Marilyn has indeed made the 'word' very sweet. It is like an explosion of new ways of thinking about things, while being in perfect harmony with the doctrines and principles of the Church." ~Dr. Bonnie Ballif-Spanville, Director - Women's Research Institute - Brigham Young University
