Carolyn Jean/Amazon: Fast-paced story with an intricately-woven plot hooked me from the first page. I read this book to explore new fiction for my eighth grade classroom library and was happily surprised to find a talented author who could write a compelling story line without teenage swearing or sex. My students will be happy to have this exciting book as a choice, and I look forward to reading more from M. H. Rice.

I LOVED this book. It was so interesting that I had trouble putting it down. It was one of those stories that continued in my imagination even when I wasn't reading it. The story is imaginative and authentic. It is clean enough for your young adult to read but sophisticated enough for any adult to enjoy. I can't wait for book two to be available!! Elaine/Amazon
