black & white illus. A scarce copy of the original edition of this Elementary Geology Syllabus by Branner who was a member of the founding faculty at Stanford Univ. The syllabus is designed with text on the left and a blank page on the right for notes etc., with diagrams and photos scattered throughout. This syllabus was well used, as most blank pages have writing (in beautiful cursive) and diagrams. The binding is solid, but front hinge is cracked and covers are faded with obvious wear. There is a bookseller's sticker on spine. An unusual find!
