Explore the fundamentals of conic sections with clear, practical guidance.

This nonfiction reference covers the parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola, outlining their key definitions, properties, and classical constructions. Expect a graduate of geometric ideas presented in a compact, student-friendly format.

This edition presents essential concepts for understanding how conics behave, from directrices and foci to tangents, normals, and latus rectum. It also includes methods you can sketch or mechanically construct, plus relationships between chords, diameters, and axes. Ideal for quick study, review, or classroom use.

• Definitions and basic properties of the parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola
• Construction techniques for points on each conic and their focal elements
• Tangents, normals, and focal chords with key theorems
• Relationships involving latus rectum, diameters, and conjugate diameters

This book is a solid fit for students, instructors, and anyone preparing for geometry exams who wants a concise, reliable reference.
