Schein and their associates.the participants who attended the International Cosmic Ray Conference at the University in the summer of 1939 which reveals.the broad, intellectual interest in both the elementary particle and the astrophysical/geophysical aspects of cosmic rays in the 1930's (Symposium, 1939).
