Synchronous and Other Multiple Telegraphs : Some Methods of Obtaining Independent Telegraph Graph Circuits on a Single Wire Both With and Without Synchronism (Classic Reprint)

Synchronous and Other Multiple Telegraphs offers practical methods for obtaining independent telegraph circuits on a single wire, with or without synchronism, and shows how to harness synchronized motion for reliable communications.

The book presents a clear, experiment‑based view of duplex, diplex, and multiplex arrangements, including direct and alternating current techniques, synchronous motors, and practical installations. It emphasizes hands‑on understanding from laboratory results and discusses how these ideas translate to real wires and stations.

• How to separate direct and alternating currents on the same line using condensers, inductances, and balancing devices.

• Methods to achieve synchronism at distant points and to control motors from a central station.

• Practical guidance for operating Morse systems and other telegraphs under synchronous schemes.

• Measured results, instrument considerations, and installation examples to help plan real‑world setups.

Ideal for readers seeking concrete, experiment‑based guidance on advanced telegraph systems and their practical applications.
