Forensic Psychiatry is the subject of clinical jurisprudence dealing with appication of psychiatric knowlledge aiding in the administration of justice in the courts of law. It is essential to both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the forensic medicine as a part of medical curriculum. The book is presented out of interest and aiming with the introduction of more insight into the forensic psychiatry subject to the undergraduate medical students and helping them in the examinations. The subject has been dealt with the related photos and tables wherever necessary for easy appreciation. the main contention is that the readers are expected to receive the required medicolegal knowledge when the mentally ill persons are involved in the wide variety of legal problems and also, when the normal persons are being affected with different harmful attacks of mentally ill persons. Dr. C. R. Ram Reddy, B. Sc., MBBS, FCGP, M.D., Ph.D., is presently professor and HOD of Forensic Medicine at Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences, Suraram, Hyderabd, Telangana State, India. He served as Professor and HOD, Forensic Medicine at MNR Medical College , Sangareddy, Telangan,. He also served as a professor at Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad and AP Police Academy, Hyderabad,. He completed medical undergraduationfrom Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad and medical Postgraducation form Osmania Medical college, Hyderabd. He has received Ph.D degree in Venom Toxicology from Dr. NTR'S University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada. Earlier he persuaded the courses like B.Sc.(special and M.Sc. (Genetics) in University Sciences College, Hyderabad during the period from 1967 to 1972.
