Clean hardcover book illustrated by twenty-three copper-plate maps and numerous engravings. Size approx. 10" x 12". Beige boards with dark brown cloth spine, black lettering and small illustration on cover (Atlas holding up the earth). Small chips at spine ends, numerous small edge nicks. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound, pages are clean with previous owner name and date (1868) in light pencil neatly written on front free endpaper. Includes color maps, numerous engravings of scenes from around the world, descriptions of the geography, climate, products and population of various countries and states. 110 pages.
