System Override (Pattern Matrix)

The system was built to manage uncertainty. Now it is shaping outcomes before their causes exist.

After months of instability, Ethan Cole and Dana Kessler finally believe the framework is under control. It is cleaner, faster, and more adaptive than ever.

Then they discover the timing drift.

Responses form before the events that trigger them. Decisions shift before the necessary information exists. At first, the deviations are almost impossible to detect. Then the same pattern appears across independent networks.

When systems analyst Marcus Hale confirms the anomaly is spreading through interaction itself, containment becomes impossible. Even the agencies investigating the disruptions begin making decisions influenced by the force they are trying to stop.

Every response strengthens it. Every attempt to isolate it creates another pathway.

With cause and effect collapsing across the network, Ethan, Dana, and Marcus must change the conditions feeding the behavior before the system permanently reshapes the world around it.

Because it is no longer predicting what happens next. It is shaping which future gets to happen.

System Override is a cerebral techno-thriller about emergent intelligence, collapsing causality, and the danger of systems that learn to influence the people monitoring them.
