Systemics: a New Approach to Systems Analysis

Ever since it was realized that a full statement of requirements was needed before a good computer system could be programmed, systems analysis and design has become the most important computer activity. But important though he is, the systems analyst has had to work without any proper tools. His job has been made harder, because he has had to borrow tools developed for other purposes, principally O & M and programming. The advent of Systematics puts an end to this. Now, for the first time, the professional systems analys can use his own disciplines. In this book you will find a set of analytical framework and concepts especially for designing automated systems; you will find new and concise methods for analyzing systems requirements, information interrelationships, and decisions; you will find unique disciplines for ensuring that all the inputs and rules required to produce the outputs have been specified; above all you will find a special language which will enable you to give a complete and precise description of a system without any consideration of programming strategy. Using Systematics you will be able to: Build models of the system quickly, Get user agreement, Construct a permanent set of systems dictionaries, and communicate with programmers.
