David P. Tegarden is Associate Professor Emeritus where he held appointments in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems, the Department of Business Information Technology, and the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech. During his career at Virginia Tech, he held the Darrell D. and Betty R. Martin Junior Faculty Fellow, was one of the founding fellows in the Center for Human-Computer Interaction, a member of the Calhoun Center for Higher Education Innovation. He has published over 100 papers in numerous journals, conference proceedings, and has presented research in many conferences.
Binny M. Samuel is Associate Professor in the Operations, Business Analytics, and Information Systems Department of the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati. He earned his PhD from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He previously worked in IT roles at Ford Motor Company and at Indiana University. His research interests include the use of representations for systems development and analytics, and the evaluation of the design of software and systems. He has published in Communications of the ACM, European Journal of Information Systems, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, and MIS Quarterly, among others.
Roman Lukyanenko is Associate Professor at the University of Virginia (UVA) McIntire School of Commerce. Professor Lukyanenko investigates and develops theoretical and practical solutions in data management, artificial intelligence and citizen science/crowdsourcing. He published over 140 conference and journal articles, including in Nature, MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and ACM Computing Surveys. His work was recognized in international awards, such as Best Paper at MIS Quarterly, The Governor General of Canada Gold Medal, Herbert A. Simon Design Science Award, AIS Best Dissertation of 2014, and INFORMS Design Science Award.
Alan R. Dennis Professor of Information Systems and John T. Chambers Chair of Internet Systems in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He has written more than 100 research papers and won numerous awards for his theoretical and applied research. His research focuses on the use of computer technologies to support team creativity and decision making, IT and the subconscious, and the use of the internet to improve business and education. He is the co-founder of Courseload, Inc., an e-textbook startup whose vision was to make learning customizable and social, and to change the business model.
Barbara Haley Wixom is Principal Research Scientist for the MIT Center for Information Systems Research (CISR) at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Her work focuses on how organizations effectively deliver value from their information assets. Before joining MIT CISR, Wixom was a tenured faculty member at the University of Virginia (UVA) McIntire School of Commerce. She has presented her work at national and international conferences to various academic and business audiences.
