About the Author

Nacido en M�laga en 1947, es uno de los m�ximos exponentes de la novela negra urbana europea. Periodista y guionista de cine adem�s de escritor, Juan Madrid desarroll� diversos oficios antes de llegar al periodismo en 1973. Es licenciado en Historia Contempor�nea por la Universidad de Salamanca, y ha colaborado como redactor en diversas revistas como Cambio 16, adem�s de escribir numerosos reportajes en otros medios internacionales. En el terreno literario ha publicado cerca de cuarenta libros, entre los cuales se incluyen novelas, recopilaci�n de cuentos en literatura infantil y juvenil, y sus obras han estado traducidas a diecis�is lenguas. Es docente en diversas instituciones de prestigio de Espa�a, Francia, Italia, Argentina y Cuba, entre los que destacan la Escuela Internacional de Cine y de TV de San Antonio de los Ba�os en Cuba y los Talleres de Escritura Fuentetaja en Madrid. En el a�o 2008 gan� el Premio Edeb� de Literatura Juvenil con la obra Huida al Sur, publicada en esta colecci�n.
