Reprint. 312, [8] pages. Hardcover: H 19.25cm x L 13.25cm. Color pictorial dust jacket with the original wraparound illustration from the first edition dj; dust jacket soiled and well rubbed, spine mildly darkened with 4cm loss to heel but shallow chipping at head, abrasion along flap folds with small losses at ends, faint staining to white rear flap; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Red cloth with black stamped lettering to spine and front board; slight fraying at spine ends, light bumping and wear to board corners. Dark bluish-green top edge; light toning to fore-edge and bottom edge with latter having slender light brown stain; toning to endpapers; past owner's ink signature on front pastedown and rear endpapers with two-line ink inscription on front free endpaper; pencil notes on rear free endpaper recto with rippled tear at fore-edge margin of preceding advertising leaf; rear leaves have varied brown staining at their top margins; majority of interior leaves remain quite clean. Binding is firm. A very good- copy in only a good dust jacket. With b/w frontispiece illustrated by Paul F. Berdanier and eight page publisher's ad section at rear.…
