About the Author
Karel DiFranco is a college instructor at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Currently she teaches psychology courses, with a particular interest in "Exceptional Psychology," a course required by future teachers focusing on the interests and needs of individuals with disabilities in the educational setting.She holds a Master's degree in Special Education from Buffalo State College, Buffalo, NY with dual certification in elementary (K-6) and special education (K-12), majoring in learning and behavioral disorders. She also has a Master's degree in School Administration and Supervision from Niagara University, Niagara University, New York. Her teaching experience totals 24 years, with diverse employment in regular and special education programs.
