Item description from seller

Chicago: A.C. McClurg & Co., 1911. 368, [1] pages, plus color frontispiece and four color plates by Maynard Dixon. Original publisher's illustrated tan cloth, stamped in purple, orange, and white. Lacking the rare dust jacket. Front cover illustration is a bit scuffed; tiny nick to upper edge of rear board; minor traces of soiling to cloth. Edges and the title page are a little foxed, mild toning to the margins of the pages facing the plates, but text is generally clean and the plates are in nice condition. A fairly attractive copy and about very good overall. FIRST EDITION of Coolidge's second novel. See Tuska, "Coolidge, Dane," in Vinson, "Twentieth Century Western Writers," p. 143.
