*** Amazon #1 Kindle Best Seller: Epic Fantasy, Historical Fantasy, Sword & Sorcery, Men's Adventure ***
They killed the king. They pinned it on two men. They chose poorly.
There's no ancient evil to defeat or orphan destined for greatness, just unlikely heroes and classic adventure. Royce Melborn, a skilled thief, and his mercenary partner, Hadrian Blackwater, are running for their lives when they're framed for the murder of the king. Trapped in a conspiracy that goes beyond the overthrow of a tiny kingdom, their only hope is unraveling an ancient mystery before it's too late.
This is the first book in the original series, The Riyria Revelations, from best-selling author Michael J. Sullivan. It takes place ten years after the events of The Riyria Chronicles and the two series can be read in either chronological order or order of publication, although the author suggests reading in publication order.

About the Author
After finding a manual typewriter in the basement of a friend's house, Michael inserted a blank piece of paper and typed: It was a dark and stormy night. He was just eight years old and following the lead of the literary master Snoopy. He was also hooked and consumed by the desire to fill that blank page and see what doors the typewriter keys would unlock. For ten years Michael developed his craft by studying authors such as Stephen King, Ayn Rand, and John Steinbeck. During that time, he wrote twelve novels, and after finding no traction in publishing, he gave up and vowed never to write creatively again.
Michael ended his hiatus a decade later only on the condition that he wouldn't seek publication. His intention was to write stories just for himself and to help foster a love of reading in his dyslexic daughter. After reading his early Riyria works, his wife made it her mission to get his stories "out there," and as such Michael has been published in all three paths: small press, self-published, and traditional (big-five). In May 2011, io9 named him to their Most Successful Self-Published Sci-Fi and Fantasy Authors List. As of late 2012, sales of his Riyria novels have exceeded 425,000 English language copies. The series has also been signed to fifteen foreign language translations including: German, Dutch, French, Russian and Japanese.
Today, Michael continues to fill blank pages and is working on his third series tentatively titled The First Empire.
