Folio. 13 x 8 ½ inches. [20], 338, [38]pp. In a contemporary sheep binding rubbed at edges and corners with some loss of leather. Gilt lettered label on spine. Corners and edges darkened from a damp stain. Leaves toned and foxed throughout, quite heavy at times. Top and lower foremargins show damp stain to various degrees. Remnants of a removed bookplate on front pastedown. Leather split at hinges but boards holding firm with original bands. Ownership inscription of William Amory above title (crossed out), W. Amory on front pastedown. Another ownership inscription on title crossed out and a small rectangular piece on the title excised. Good. Advertising on final page by publisher, Charles Harper. Beginning in 1682, the ?Modern Reports? were published in 12 individual volumes, over a period of more than 50 years. The third part, covering the years 1682-1690, (offered here) was first published in 1700, compiled by Anthony Colquitt.
