1st English Language Edition. Wraps, 8vo. pp xiii, 120. Original publisher's thin card light brown covers lettered black on spine and on front cover. Some very modest general wear head of spine minutely nicked, spine hinge sl creased, lower spine faintly crimped, sl crease at rear, decent, sound clean very good copy with no loss, no inscriptions and not price clipped. 2/6 price on inner flap intact. The First English language appearance of Buber's landmark work, an essay on existence. Buber had written 'Ich und Du' (here translated as I and Thou) in 1923.
