Fourth edition, corrected and improved. No author listed. The Art of Sail-Making, as Practised in The Royal Navy, and According to the Most Approved Methods in the Merchant Service, Accompanied with the Parliamentary Regulations Relative to Sails and Sail-Cloth; The Admiralty Instructions for Manufacturing Canvas for Her Majesty's Navy, Form of Tender, etc. 158 pages with illustrations and tables. The full calf binding was probably done privitely by a previous owner and appears contemporary to the mid 1800's. Marbled endpapers. Text block edges marbled. Spine rebacked with original spine attached. Covers show moderate wear. Owner's signature to two of the three title pages. A very good copy.
