Circa 1939. Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. A dark prayer commentating on poverty, commentary, and pacifism, written just after the outbreak of the Second World War. Illustrated with Wragg's woodcuts throughout. By Arthur Wragg, an illustrator known for his work dealing with social alienation and spiritual emptiness. Off-white cloth with black titles and vignette of man & woman kneeling in prayer. B/w woodcuts throughout. Not paginated. Boards are bowed and are lightly browned and marked, mainly horizontal edges. Text block browned. Inscription in ink to free front endpaper. A few foxspots and some page browning to contents, a few grubby marks to prelims. Pictorial dustwrapper is heavily browned and grubby, edge-worn. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched.

Returns: We do our best to make sure that all of our books are described accurately. Books can be returned within 14 days of receipt. If a book is found to be substantially not as described then we shall provide a full refund including return postage otherwise you shall be responsible for cost of return postage.
