Brown cloth backed pictorial boards with cat vignettes surrounding a full color pictorial paste label on the front board and black lettering on the spine with only a minute amount of wear to the head and tail of spine for a bright and beautiful copy of the book. Pictorial endpapers with gift inscription dated 1920 on the front paste-down and discoloration to the front and back free endpapers. The text block edges and preliminaries are foxed and some of the foxing extends into the margins on some of the text pages. Twelve full page color pictures and a large number of pen and ink drawings, all of which are by Louis Wain, illustrate this volume of exciting adventure and entertaining histories of "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor, Gentleman, Apothecary, Plowboy, Thief," the characters being impersonated by Louis Wain's celebrated cats.
