Decarli escribi� una novela sobre la p�rdida del amor, pero sin dejarse atrapar por la melancol�a. Con procedimientos de la novela policial, pero sin crimen ni detective, instalando la sensaci�n permanente de que la realidad, como pasa en el g�nero fant�stico, se vuelve inquietante, imposible de comprender. Buscamos a Mar�a, junto al narrador de esta historia, con la sospecha de que nunca vamos a encontrarla. Y con el temor, incluso, de que tal vez Mar�a nunca haya existido.
