Established in 1970, we are situated alongside the medieval precinct of York Minster, where our stock is contained over five floors of a Georgian town-house. We issue catalogues in our specialist areas and we are always happy to help with particular booksearch enquiries or to provide advice on any aspect of book-collecting. The shop is open 7 days 10.00am-5.30pm.

All books are sent on approval and may be returned for any reason within 14 days of receipt.If you feel that our original description was in any way inaccurate, and we feel that there is good cause to agree, then we will also refund the return postage.If you wish to return a book please inform us first, and await our acknowledgement and shipping instuctions before dispatch.
All books are sent fully insured, and carefully packed and will be charged at our default rates unless exceptionally heavy - because of our preferential shipping contracts we only rarely need to apply for extra postage. Overseas orders will be sent by airmail unless otherwise requested.
