A princess is locked in a tower by her father, a cruel king who doesn't want anyone to marry her. Fortunately, the fairy godmother entrusts her rescue to the knight Gaspard. On his trusty steed, Gaspard rides to the tower of the wicked witch, guarded by a terrifying fire-breathing dragon! So far, everything seems to be going well... But Gaspard forgets his lines, is replaced by an understudy, then by a supporting actor who makes strange wishes that the princess doesn't quite agree with...

With her trademark absurd humor, Roxane Brouillard takes us on a magical quest where the Middle Ages are transformed into a veritable theater. Ariane Cloutier's soft and colorful illustrations lend an enchanted and vaudevillian feel to this surprising story.

Roxane Brouillard has dreamed of becoming a writer since she was a teenager. She completed a bachelor's degree in literature and divides her time between writing and her job at a library. In 2019, she won second place in the Grand prix du livre de la Montérégie in the 0-5 age category for her first book, Mon Chien-Banane.

Ariane Cloutier has been drawing characters full of gentleness and anxiety since completing her bachelor's degree in graphic design at the Université du Québec à Montréal (2018). In 2023, her two fanzines, Montréal-Gaspé and It'll be alright, were selected for the 24th Bédélys Awards (in the “independent French-language” and “independent English-language” categories). She is working on her first long comic strip (a project started during a mentorship offered by Front Froid Publishing in 2020), on illustration contracts, and on several other projects that are still a bit secret.
