Le milieu poreux est mod�lis� suivant le mod�le de Darcy ? Brinkman ? Forchheimer. L'�coulement convectif est r�gi par diff�rents param�tres de contr�le, � savoir le nombre de Rayleigh, le rapport des forces de volume, le nombre de Prandtl,le nombre de Lewis, le nombre de Darcy et la porosit� ?. La m�thode des volumes finis a �t� utilis�e pour r�soudre les �quations de base en milieux fluide et poreux. Pour la validation du code de calcul, l'accord obtenu entre nos r�sultats et ceux dans la litt�rature s'est av�r� excellent. L'influence des param�tres physiques et g�om�triques est examin�e. L'augmentation de l'�paisseur de la couche poreuse de faible perm�abilit� r�duit consid�rablement les transferts thermique et massique. Dans un souci de mettre � la disposition de l'ing�nieur un outil lui permettant d'�valuer les transferts thermiques et massiques, des corr�lations sont propos�es.

About the Author

Dr. Ramdane Younsi obtained his Ph.D in Fluids Mechanics from the University of Algiers in Algeria. He is currently Professor in the Department of mechanical engineering at �cole Polytechnique Montr�al, Canada. His research interests include heat and mass transfer in porous media, high thermal treatment of wood, and industrial furnaces.
