First, you don’t need a gameboard, cards, tokens, dice or spinners to play Triviamo. Everything you need is in this book—including player scoresheets. Traditional trivia books have plenty of questions and answers, but they don’t provide a way for multiple players to record an answer to the same question in real-time.

Second, traditional trivia books test your recall of facts; Triviamo does that and more. It also expands your knowledge and ability to analyze information. It challenges preconceptions of what you think you know about the world. Each Triviamo question also includes clues to the answer and creates a frame of reference and context to help you learn more about the topic. These clues give all players, regardless of age, a chance to win even if they know nothing about the topic.

Third, Triviamo has Monte Royale the game host and info master who poses questions and delivers clues that lead you toward the correct answers—or in some cases away from them.

To win at Triviamo, you don’t need to be an expert in any knowledge category, but you do need to recognize the clues hidden in each question and decide if Monte’s suggested answers make sense or if he is misleading you.
