Miti leggende storie del Mediterraneo antico � il risultato della collaborazione tra il Ministero della Cultura italiano e il Ministero della Cultura e del Turismo della Repubblica di Turchia. � promossa dal Dipartimento per la valorizzazione del Patrimonio culturale, dall'Istituto centrale per la valorizzazione economica e la promozione del patrimonio culturale e dal Parco archeologico del Colosseo, nell'ambito delle attivit� del Ministero della Cultura per il Piano Mattei per l'Africa e il Mediterraneo allargato. Il progetto � finalizzato a rafforzare i legami culturali e l'amicizia storica tra i due Paesi, e a promuovere la conoscenza reciproca dei rispettivi patrimoni, nell'ottica di un dialogo strategico per lo sviluppo culturale ed economico. Il catalogo presenta 330 reperti, provenienti da alcuni dei principali musei italiani e turchi, molti dei quali esposti per la prima volta in Italia. Il percorso espositivo consente di mettere in dialogo testimonianze archeologiche fondamentali per la conoscenza del patrimonio storico e mitico di Ilio con materiali che documentano la diffusione e la rielaborazione del mito di Enea dalla fondazione di Roma all'et� augustea. Il volume � arricchito da saggi di specialisti nazionali e internazionali che raccontano in modo organico e scientificamente aggiornato le vicende culturali e storiche di Troia e Roma, riannodando idealmente i fili del mito, della leggenda e della realt� storica in una narrazione unitaria che abbraccia circa tre millenni di civilt� anatolica e italica.
