It isn’t known if they knew each other but it is certain that they had a similar spirit, and a caustic sense of observation.By the age of 30 Draner was installed in Paris where he worked very regularly for the principle satiric journals, so much in vogue at the time, such as Le Charivari, Paris-Comique, Le Journal Amusant… but his sketches also appeared in L’Illustration and Le Monde Classique.
