Other courses include a program for the general public in relation to their Wills and Powers of Attorney. He also continues to write books. Ernie helped establish dozens of not-for-profit organizations and charities, including REACH [which assist persons with disabilities], the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution (CICR) and Injustice in the Legal System (IJLS). He also co-hosted 260 weekly one-hour CHIN (Canada) Radio interviews on Alternative Dispute Resolution from 2004 to 2009, which was heard world-wide, and garnered two national awards. After a joint launch of Ernie's books, Dave Brown - former editor of the Ottawa Citizen - wrote a column entitled "A Lifetime Spent Fighting for Justice".
