How to transform student learning with iPad Tablets have been hailed as the biggest revolution in education since the printing press, but years since the launch of the iPad why has so little in education changed? Many point to the fact that they’re just the latest educational fad, or that their benefits have been oversold. Others call for a return to the traditional methods of teaching, but on the periphery you see schools achieving incredible things with iPads. Schools like ESSA Academy, The de Ferrers Academy and Hove Park all reporting record student results within just a few years of introducing this technology. How are these schools achieving this and how can your own replicate it? In The Tablet Revolution, entrepreneur and school improvement expert Jay Ashcroft explains why and, most importantly, how. Having worked with hundreds of schools using iPad, Jay knows what works, what doesn’t, and how you can start transforming student learning with the iPad at your institution. This book is a recipe for ensuring your school, college or University starts transforming student learning with iPad too. The Tablet Revolution covers:
- Challenging and inspiring students to do their best Getting your infrastructure right from the beginning Funding and growing your iPad project year after year Engaging parents to get them on board Developing sustainable, high quality teacher training opportunities

About the Author
Jay Ashcroft is cofounder of LearnMaker, a school leadership and development company that lends a platform to his successful corporate world experience and passion for education. In 2010, Jay was selected to join Apple and lead a new store in a destination location in the North of England, training and developing a team of over 50 staff members. Jay took the store from inception to one of the top performers in Europe in his first 12 months. Moving into the education technology sector, Jay was recruited to establish and develop a Northern territory for a national Apple reseller. When Jay left two years later, he had overseen over £2 million of Apple technology deployed into schools and worked with thousands of teachers. Today, Jay works with school leaders to develop high performing cultures that bring about better results, improve efficiency and make leading a school a much more enjoyable process. Since founding LearnMaker, Jay has been nominated for the prestigious NAACE Impact Award, invited onto a three year Europe wide project and personally supported numerous school leaders.
