Oblong quarto. 296 pages. Brown paper covered boards with title and illustration printed on the front cover. An advertisement printed on the rear cover. Soft leather spine. Front joint is cracked and chipped. Front board starting to detach. Edge and shelf wear to boards. Head and base of spine and upper rear board chipped. Interior contents in good condition. Previous owner inscription written on the blank right front flyleaf. First published by F. J. Huntington in New York 1866. A preface to the third edition by McIntosh is dated 1867. This edition by McDuffie in Columbia is not dated, but is circa 1867, or shortly there afterwards. A nice copy of this SCARCE work. Not Ex-Lib.
