After earning a PhD in engineering sciences from UC Berkeley, J. N. Schad spent twenty years in scientific research aimed at mathematical simulation of various applied physical phenomena at his Alma mater. In 2000, he decided to work in Silicon Valley, where he is pursuing electronic quality engineering.

In addition to engineering and scientific interests, Schad has studied mythology, mysticism, religion, philosophy, neuroscience, computational networks, and more to help conceive his interesting theories on the brain. He is currently an electronic quality engineering consultant. He has authored and coauthored sixty peer reviewed scientific publications.
