About the Author
Charles Stepan, sixth-degree black belt under sanction of Grand master Kae Bae Chun, has been in martial art for over 30 years. He has also been active as judge, referee and tournament director throughout the eastern United States for much of that time. His numerous competition wins include the North American Martial Arts Championship, North American Taekwondo Championship and the All American Open Championship in Madison Square Garden, a title he claimed twice. Stepan's authoritative articles' have been published in magazines such as Karate Illustrated, Black Belt, Traditional Tae Kwon Do and Tae Kwon Do Times.
