Takdir the Tiger Cub

Takdir is a tiger cub. He lives in a thick jungle. One day, when his mother, Sita, is away and his sisters are asleep, Takdir decides to go off on his own. The story of what happens to him is told through warm photographs and simple text. Sita and her family are in Bandhavgarh National Park in central India. Nanda, a wildlife photographer and film-maker, and Latika, a wildlife biologist, have studied them for over 10 years. The photographs bring little children up close to the wild — showing actual tiger habitat, with leafy forests as well as dry stretches of scrub. and visually conveying concepts such as natural camouflage.
