The creation and use of silk "paper" is a new craft that has a great deal of promise. Brightly colored silk tops (unspun hanks of silk fibers) are flattened on nylon net, brushed with adhesive, and dried to form a lustrous, paperlike fabric that can be cut, stitched, and embellished. This book contains detailed instructions for making silk paper, several very elegant projects for evening bags, and a gallery of silk paper works by several Australian and Canadian artists.
