In the greatest journey of his life, Eric Latham literally walked across the United States for cancer research. Along the way, he met thousands of people who shared their amazing stories with him. Eric Latham founded Walk About America in September 2004. His mother survived cancer, which inspired him to literally walk across the United States for cancer research. Eric also volunteered at Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, Virginia, where he became friends with many people whose lives were affected by the deadly disease. In the spring of 2003, Eric received a communications studies degree at Virginia Tech with a concentration in broadcast journalism. Leading up to the creation of Walk About America, he crafted his writing abilities while working as a news producer for ABC television in Las Vegas. Eric resides in Bristol, Virginia.
