About the Author
Just 6 months after his wedding, Roger Maxwell had a massive stroke. After insurance ran out, he was left with severely compromised vision, speech, balance, was unable to swallow, and had no chance of walking without a cane for the rest of his life. Told he could do nothing but "cross his fingers," he refused to accept this "life sentence." He researched and devised a program that enabled him to recover fully. He wants all stroke survivors to benefit from what he learned.
Roger is featured on the cover of the May-June 2009 issue of StrokeSmart magazine, and writes a regular nutrition column for the magazine.
