Taking a Ride on Butterfly Wings is a bedtime story destined to become a classic. Follow Lulu and Lainy on a journey through their imaginations as they learn to use guided imagery by picturing peaceful, calming places and activities throughout the New England seasons to help them fall asleep. Written in rhyme, children 6 months to 7 years will enjoy visualizing themselves riding butterfly wings; playing in parks and at carnivals, and eating ice cream cones and birthday cake with their friends in the springtime; picking pumpkins and apples in autumn; and dancing in the snow in winter. Their adventure ends with them returning home, eating dinner, taking baths, reading books, and finally, sleeping comfortably in their warm, cozy beds.

Filled with soft pastel illustrations, the book contains playful images and positive concepts and ideas depicting children in safe, happy places engaging with family and friends. Helping children to relax and unwind, Taking a Ride on Butterfly Wings will become an important part of bedtime routines for children and families everywhere.

Catherine Horn is a former special education teacher and school psychologist living in Greenwich, CT. This is her first children's book. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Authors and Illustrators, and the National League of American Pen Women. She currently serves as Co-Chair of Letters for Greenwich Pen Women.
