"I was not born but given life."

In the mystical heart of a land whispered by the River and the Oak, stands the guardian of history - the Standing Stone. The Tale of the Standing Stone by debut author Liam White is a captivating journey through time, exploring themes of friendship, loss, and redemption.
From the days when clans roamed and the night sky was a canvas of stories, to the quiet when the land forgot its past, the Standing Stone has seen it all. This ancient stone, a silent witness to the unfolding of ages, finds itself forgotten when the River diverts and the Oak falls.
Yet, hope is rekindled with the arrival of a new generation, who uncover the stone's magic, restoring its place in the world with the planting of a new oak.
With a background in archaeology and the classics, Liam White crafts a story that resonates with the resilience of nature and the enduring power of memory.

This is Liam White's first children's book. He has a passion for reading and holds a BA in archaeology and the classics. He lives in Co. Cork, Ireland with his wife and his two children. Having read countless bedtime stories to his kids, it sparked an interest in writing his own. He is currently writing another children's book and hopes to pursue writing further.
