A Tale of Two Donkeys

This delightful and moving book follows the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus the Christ by sharing the story of two special donkeys whose lives are intimately intertwined with that of the Lord's. Follow the donkey Jenny as she is integral at Jesus' birth and throughout His youth and, later, meet her son Joel as he plays his role in the triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The story then turns to Jenny's role in the next days of heartbreak, followed by triumph and joy. Learn the story of how it is that donkeys have come to carry the sign of the cross on their withers. While inspired by certain historical events in the New Testament, this story is a work of fiction. But, as the author points out in the Preface, who is to say that it did not happen as he has written it?

Malcolm Carter is a Methodist minister in England, where he has ministered for over 40 years. His ministry has included Liverpool, his hometown, where for 20 years he was chaplain to Walton prison, the largest prison in Western Europe.
