Talinga (Paperback or Softback)

Talinga was Margaret Sinclair's home away from home for nearly five decades - a place of solace, connection and inspiration.

Built by her parents, Beryl and Charlie Sinclair, on the pristine shores of K'gari (Fraser Island), Talinga became more than a family retreat; it became the heart of a movement to preserve one of Australia's most treasured landscapes.

In this deeply personal memoir, Margaret reflects on a life of adventure, resilience and groundbreaking achievements.

From her pioneering inventions and entrepreneurship to her years abroad in the United States, United Kingdom and Greece, she shares the triumphs and challenges that shaped her remarkable journey.

At the core of Talinga is a story of unwavering determination - whether in battling systemic obstacles, rebuilding after devastating loss, or standing beside her brother, conservationist John Sinclair, in his fight to protect K'gari.

With a foreword by Dr. Peter A. Alivizatos, her former spouse and a pioneer in cardiothoracic transplantation, this memoir is a testament to love, legacy and the unbreakable bond between people and place.

Talinga is a must-read for those who cherish history, nature and the stories that connect us all.
