Talk About Stress : Managing Stress in the Interactive Age

This book, by Martin Seidenfeld, Ph.D., covers the most important things you need to know about stress: what it is, why it needs to be managed and how to manage it. Written with humor and without jargon, yet highly sophisticated in its approach, it is easy to read and fun to use. Topics covered include time management, how to gain social support and how to develop a stress-free interaction style. Most importantly, Dr. Seidenfeld shows, in clear, simple language, how you can change your thinking; changing your mountains of stress into molehills of relaxation.

Dr. Seidenfeld is a graduate of the City University of New York and earned his doctorate in Psychology from Boston University. He was a recipient of a special NEH fellowship to Yale University.

Dr. Seidenfeld has some 30 years experience as a clinical psychologist, organizational consultant, university professor and seminar presenter. He was formerly the National Vice President of American Management Psychologists, Inc., one of America’s largest firms of psychological consultants. He has taught at numerous universities including the University of Maryland, State University of New York at Farmingdale, Albertson’s College of Idaho (graduate program in counseling) and in the MBA program at Universidad Internacional Del Ecuador.

A past President of the Idaho Psychological Association, he has served, by governor’s appointment, on a state commission on juvenile crime. Dr. Seidenfeld is well known for his many publications, for his Boise radio call-in program—where he was known as “Dr. Marty”—and for the seminars he has presented in over thirty-nine states as well as in Canada, Europe and South America

Presently, Dr. Seidenfeld serves as President of the Human Resources Corporation, providing consultation and training on issues relating to the human side of management and organization development. He also conducts a clinical practice and is adjunct faculty to Boise State University, Eastern Oregon University and George Fox University.
