Tame the Self: Create & Sustain High Performance by Optimizing Your Time, Attention, Motivation and Energy

We all have two voices inside us.

One that reaches for more, and another that whispers, "not today." The second voice wins more often than we admit. It's subtle, rational, and always ready to delay.

I faced that voice when violent crime forced us to leave the country. Overnight, I went from a well-paid professional who appeared on television to fi nding myself in a new

country where my language, skills, and experience held no value.

Accepting work that made me question my identity, I was forced to learn new skills fast while battling exhaustion. Every day turned into an experiment, testing routines

and mindsets that helped me stay consistent.

Through that process, I discovered that sustainable performance comes from aligning four internal resources: Time, Attention, Motivation, and Energy. When they drift out

of sync, life pulls them in different directions, costing well-being and relationships.

Drawing from neuroscience, performance psychology, and my two decades in human development, this book combines practical systems with personal insights.

You'll learn to see how your second voice holds you back and how to bring your internal resources into sync so progress compounds naturally.

In the end, effort gets you started, but a well-aligned structure is what keeps you moving. This book shows you how to build it.
