Taming of the Few

When a bizarre magnetic shift turns ordinary talents into extraordinary magic, a team of allies bands together to protect themselves. But are these Unhidden capable of saving themselves from genocide?

Anna Taylor thought she was just a good swimmer... until she starts growing scales and working water magic. Forced to flee an angry mob, she seeks sanctuary in a rural Ireland safehouse that offers less protection than she'd hoped, and she's thrown headfirst into a perilous mission to defuse an explosive threat.

To overcome the danger, Anna teams with a group of six unlikely allies. Max, a war-torn Vietnam vet with the power to command winds. Bintou, a linguistic genius who can decipher any language. Hiroki, a persuasive mastermind from Tokyo. Qacha, a fire-wielding chef. And Nokomis, a grandmother who can make any plant grow. The only thing they've got in common is the enemy.

They're not perfect. Still, they've got each other's backs. Probably. They'll have to keep their eye on Max.

When a consortium of xenophobic zealots declares open season on their kind, Anna and her ragtag squad must combine their powers to avert their own extinction. If this unlikely team of misfits fails, more than their lives will be in danger. It could lead to the annihilation of all the Unhidden.

Can Anna and her mostly merry band divert the tide of chaos and death hurtling toward them?
