The Tangled Bridge (Devils of the Briar Series)

The Tangled Bridge -- the follow-up to A Twisted Ladder, Rhodi Hawk's stellar debut novel.

Psychologist Madeleine LeBlanc is still adjusting to her new-found powers. Her family's ability to see river devils may prove useful at times, but this inheritance has also meant a century of madness that Madeleine is desperate to escape.

An innocent little boy is being hunted―by Madeleine's half-brother and her great-grandmother, Chloe, and by the demons they control. The boy is a threat to their bloodline, to their very lives, but Madeleine cannot let his young life be callously destroyed.

Thrust into an age-old battle of dark versus light, Madeleine dives deep into the history of her family and into the vast paranormal underworld of New Orleans, a world seemingly controlled by her great-grandmother.

RHODI HAWK began her career as a transcription linguist in U.S. Army intelligence. She later worked as a technical writer during the Internet boom. In 2007 Hawk won the International Thriller Writer's Scholarship. She is the author of A Twisted Ladder and The Tangled Bridge.
