In this famous but even for its time outdated work, Wallerius tried to explain the creation of the world as it is decribed in the Old Testament, with the help of the modern sciences. Wallerius argues for a cosmology in which the world has been created from water and light and refers to several thinkers from the mystical tradition, among others.
