A Tapestry of Promises: Edition 2

He was my best friend. My secret crush. My once-in-a-lifetime. Now he’s a guarded millionaire in construction with a son, a home in the country... and a request I can’t say no to. Brody Carter used to laugh with me under the summer sun, swearing we would never drift apart.

But time changed everything.

Now he’s a successful business mogul with sharp edges and a heart he keeps to himself. The boy I knew is gone until a chance café encounter brings me face to face. Could it be destiny?
He’s desperate for me to help—both as an accountant and a nanny.
He’s grumpy and guarded. I’m soft and stubborn.
Making me feel welcome in his new home with little effort. His son’s heart makes me laugh.

But Brody still runs from love when it matters most. And I’m already in too deep.
We once promised each other forever. Now, I must ask: Are we meant to come back together… or break apart all over again?
