Targeting Iraq: Sanctions and Bombing in US Policy

In this book Geoff Simons describes the US conflicts with Iraq in the broad context of regional politics and American objectives. He profiles the long American war on Iraq with a unique focus on the sanctions regime, the bombing campaign, US manipulation of the UN, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the pro-Iraq Arab consensus, and how Washington plans to overthrow the Saddam Hussein regime. Such factors, explored in detail, graphically illustrate the impact of US policy on the international stage.

Geoff Simons has written extensively on world politics. His books have been translated into many languages and he has made frequent appearances on major international news networks. He is also the author of Targeting Iraq (2002) and Future Iraq (2003) - both published by Saqi.
